What a difference a year makes! When Australia arrived in Wales just under 12 months ago, they were low on confidence and seemingly lacking direction under head coach Robbie Deans.

On the two weekends which had preceded their visit to the principality, the Aussies had contrived to draw a game with Ireland which they should have won easily, and then somehow managed to lose to Scotland at Murrayfield despite dominating both possession and territory.

However, they ended their tour on a fantastic high, with Digby Ioane, James Horwill, David Pocock and Tatafu Polota-Nau all touching down during a stirring 33-12 victory.

It was a desperately disappointing defeat for Wales, who had been hopeful of recording a second successive win over the Wallabies, following their impressive 21-18 victory in the same fixture the year before.

Warren Gatland's men will be intent on exacting some revenge this year. However, it will not be easy as the Aussies have won four of the two side's seven previous meetings at the Millennium Stadium.
