Australia will take Stephen Moore, Sitaleki Timani and Dominic Shipperley on their tour of South Africa and Argentina as part of the Rugby Championship, despite the trio carrying injury concerns.

Coach Robbie Deans passed the three players fit on Wednesday morning and named them as part of a 28-man squad which will depart for Pretoria on Thursday. Moore and Timani are currently recovering from hamstring strains, while winger Shipperley suffered a dislocated finger against Argentina last Saturday.

Deans, who also named uncapped Waratahs prop Paddy Ryan and Western Force winger Nick Cummins in the touring party, remains hopeful the injured trio will be fit for the Wallabies' clash with the Springboks at Loftus Versfeld on September 29.

Meanwhile, fly-half Quade Cooper was ruled out on Tuesday evening with a knee complaint that will require surgery. While Ben Tapuai, Mike Harris and Rob Simmons have been released and will not board the plane with the Wallabies.
