Wallabies winger Digby Ioane has dismissed reports that he is about to make a big-money move to Japan, insisting that he will only decide his future after the World Cup.

The Reds winger denied reports in the Australian press that he had decided to turn his back on the Australian Rugby Union following the World Cup and sign for play for Japanese club Kubota alongside former teammate Hugh McMeniman.

"It's all rumours," Ioane told AAP. "My main focus is playing good footy for the Reds. The worst thing you could do is be talking about contracts right now. I don't want it to get in the way of playing for the Reds or the Wallabies. Once I've got time to myself, I'll make my commitment."

Ioane, who has won 11 caps for the Wallabies, has been in strong form this season and looks set to play an important role in Australia's World Cup campaign, particularly with star try-scorer Drew Mitchell struggling to recover from a leg injury in time for the tournament in September.
