Australia fly-half Quade Cooper is back in the Reds' starting line up as he looks to prove his fitness to Wallabies coach Robbie Deans ahead of their three-Test series against Wales in June.

Cooper ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament against Wales in the 2011 World Cup bronze final. He has been out of action ever since and has missed the opening 12 rounds of the 2012 Super Rugby season. But the Reds have named him at fly-half, alongside fellow Wallaby Will Genia, for their match against the Lions on Saturday and Cooper is adamant that he is fully fit.

"It has been a long six-plus months on the sideline and I know I've done everything I can to tick all the boxes during my rehab and have been as diligent as possible to ensure I am ready to return," Cooper said. "Everything which could be done has been done and the rest is now out of my hands.

"I'll be going out on Saturday knowing I've done everything within my power to be prepared both physically and mentally and it's now about going out and doing the best that I can for the team."
