Stephen Moore, Ben Alexander and Ben McCalman have recommitted to the Wallabies until the 2015 Rugby World Cup, citing unfinished business at Test and Super Rugby level as they resisted the temptation to head overseas.

"I've still got a lot that I would like to achieve both with the Brumbies and the Wallabies, and I can't do that by heading overseas," Moore said.

Alexander, who went from Brumbies reserve to Wallabies starter in 2008, said: "While last year was an eventful one and provided a lot of challenges for everyone associated with the Wallabies, it was a tight group.

"We stuck together and showed what it meant to us to represent Australia. The wins in Argentina, where none of us had ever played a Test before, and against England at Twickenham, were incredibly special performances. The team showed great heart and togetherness in the face of extreme adversity. While we might not be ranked No. 1 in the world at the moment … I truly believe we have the potential to get there."

McCalman, meanwhile, emerged from a year to forget to win a new contract ahead of Australia's big international season.

McCalman, who can cover a variety of positions in the pack, is making his way back from a shoulder problem and broken arm that sidelined him for much of 2012.

"It wasn't easy missing out last year but the break has given me a decent rest and added to the hunger to get back," McCalman said.

"I've had a good off-season, have enjoyed getting back into my work with the Force, and can't wait to get started again. There's a lot to look forward to this year with a new coaching team and a lot of new faces at the Force, the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of playing against the British and Irish Lions, and then the Rugby Championship and spring tour after that."
