Mogg reportedly to undergo shoulder reconstruction

Wallabies fullback Jesse Mogg is set for "season-ending shoulder surgery", according to reports in the Canberra Times.

Mogg started at fullback in Australia's first two matches of the Rugby Championship and was named on the bench for round three's loss to South Africa. But it looks like he will miss the rest of the tournament and the end-of-year tour to Europe where the Wallabies will play five Tests.

Israel Folau is currently in charge of the No.15 jersey for Australia and crossed on Saturday against Argentina. Mogg was left out of the squad for the weekend's loss to the Pumas and he will reportedly be out for a lengthy spell as he undergoes shoulder reconstruction.

The Wallabies will also be without Nick Cummins for the rest of the Championship as the winger has sustained a broken hand. With Mogg and Cummins both out, Joe Toomane could make a return to the first team for their round five clash against South Africa on September 28.
