Australia's in-form centre Tevita Kuridrani has been ruled out of the Wallabies' final match of the end-of-year tour with an ankle injury.

The 23-year-old Brumbies centre picked up the injury in the second half of Australia's 26-23 defeat in Dublin last Saturday, and tests on Monday showed he had a low-grade syndesmosis injury. Kuridrani will remain in London with the squad this week but is unavailable for the match at Twickenham on Saturday.

Kuridrani's injury is a blow to the Wallabies, who are trying to stave off their worst sequence of European tour results since 2005. The centre has scored three tries in his past six matches.

Coach Michael Cheika is likely to shift Adam Ashley-Cooper from the wing to outside centre as a result of Kuridrani's absence, but he could recall Kurtley Beale to the starting line-up at centre. Rob Horne and Christian Leali'ifano are also in the mix for a recall.
