Harlequins have announced the signing of Australia one-cap flanker Beau Robinson on a season-long deal as a medical joker.

The news comes two days after Quins made it three wins from three in the European Challenge Cup with a 50-10 victory at Calvisano.

Robinson, 29, brings a wealth of Super Rugby experience to Conor O'Shea's side, having played for both the Queensland Reds and New South Wales Waratahs and won a single cap for the Wallabies in 2011.

"I'm excited to have joined Harlequins and to be presented with the opportunity to play alongside some world class players," Robinson said. "I'm looking forward to helping the club push for honours in both the Aviva Premiership and the European Challenge Cup."

O'Shea added: "We are delighted to able to bring in someone of Beau's ability at such short notice. We are looking forward to welcoming him to Harlequins, helping him settle into London life and see him make a big impact for the club for the rest of the season."
