Brumbies coach Eddie Jones says he's sick to death of the constant criticism of the Brumbies' tactics, in the lead-up to Saturday night's Super 12 final in Canberra.

His Canterbury counterpart Robbie Deans has attacked the Brumbies scrum tactics, but Jones says he's had enough.

"Since round six of the Super 12 there's been constant criticism from coaches on our style, we believe the referee adjudicates on the laws during the game and we leave it to that," Jones said. "We've just basically had a gutful, and we don't believe it's in the spirit of rugby."

But Jones is not innocent either in the trans-Tasman war of words. He has had a fair bit to say himself, questioning the Crusaders lineout tactics.

While the rival coaches have been grabbing the headlines, the players have kept focused on the job at hand, doing their best to avoid the hype.

The Brumbies keeping things light this week, after cancelling their training Monday, they have kept the other sessions short and sharp. Jones says his charges have had a very relaxed build up.

"There hasn't been too much hype this week, we've been able to control it as much as we can, so the mood of the camp is pretty relaxed."

One player who might not be as relaxed is Brumbies captain Brett Robinson who has recovered from injury and will lead his side onto Bruce Stadium for possibly the last time on Saturday. Robinson has indicated the final will be his last match for the Brumbies. Jones was full of praise for his outgoing skipper.

"He's the foundation captain of the Brumbies, he's very much the captain of the team and this year his play at openside flanker has probably been the best of his career so we're really happy to have him back."
