Tune and Cockbain back in Wallaby contention
July 16, 2000

Wallabies coach Rod Macqueen says injured pair Ben Tune and Matt Cockbain should be fit enough to be considered for a return for Australia's next Test against South Africa in a fortnight.

Macqueen says a host of injuries from last night's incredible 39-35 loss to New Zealand will be given as much time as needed before the Sydney Test against the Springboks.

Flyhalf Stephen Larkham suffered a grade one strain to his medial ligament in his knee last night and Macqueen says it's lucky the Australians have a two week break.

He's confident Daniel Herbert's rib injury, Chris Latham's ankle and Jason Little's cut head will be right in time

Winger Tune, flanker Cockbain, fullback Matt Burke and centre Tim Horan will all join the Wallabies in camp this week although Macqueen's uncertain whether Burke and Horan will be considered.
