Reds make it two from two in Argentina
September 19, 2000

Queensland coach Mark McBain believes Queensland has room for improvement on their tour of Argentina despite a 78-13 victory against Cordoba.

The Reds crossed for 12 tries and led 24-8 at half-time against a side that is highly rated in Argentina's first division and included three Test players.

Reds wingers Ricky Nalatu and Scott Barton were unstoppable out wide, scoring five tries between them.

"We defended well and scored some good tries, but we bombed a few as well," McBain said.

"Matches against Buenos Aries and Argentina A later in the tour will be a better test of how we are progressing."

Reds 78 (Nalatu 3, Barton 2, Drahm 2, Roe 2, Sharpe, Wakely, Kefu triess, Drahm 6 conversions, Kefu 2 conversions, Wakely 1 conversion) bt Cordoba 13.
