Sharks in the Pink-erton

Sale Sharks have confirmed the signing of New South Wales' Super 12 flanker Stuart Pinkerton.

A former Australia U21, Pinkerton was becoming frustrated with his lack of chances for the Wallabies and left Australia earlier this month to take up a contract overseas.

The 28-year-old will join a second forward signed this week, Italian lock Mark Giacheri, 32, who turned out for North Harbour last weekend in New Zealand's NPC competition.
