Walker to miss Sharks clash
March 3, 2002

Brumbies fullback Andrew Walker has been cleared of serious knee damage and is expected to miss only a week of the Super 12.

Walker was carried from the field after hurting his right knee in the final minutes of the Brumbies 64-16 flogging of the Cats.

A Brumbies spokesman announced that Walker had been diagnosed as having a grade one medial ligament strain that will rule him out the Brumbies game against the Sharks.

"We won't be doing any further tests at this stage, and we'll just be focusing on rehabilitation and see how that comes along," the spokesman said.

"At this stage he'll probably miss the match against the Sharks but that's more a precautionary thing."
