Brumbies v Bulls - Preview
March 14, 2002

The Bulls will be hard pressed to break their duck when they travel to Canberra and the challenge of the Brumbies on Saturday.

WALKING WOUNDED
Centre Adrian Jacob isn't injured, but his heart really isn't in it after asking for a transfer to the Falcons in the Vodacom Cup. He stated disillusionment with Bulls coach Heyneke Meyer as the main reason for his decision to walk out on the Bulls. A pretty severe bagging in the press after the loss to the Waratahs might also have contributed. His request was turned down.
The Brumbies welcome back fullback Andrew Walker to the side after he missed the game against the Sharks due to a slight knee injury. And in a further boost former Wallaby centre James Holbeck has recovered from medial knee ligament strain.

FORM
The Bulls are assuming their familiar spot at the bottom of the ladder with their 51-19 loss to the Waratahs offering little to suggest they will climb any higher.
The Sharks really tested the Brumbies last week, but as usual the Super 12 champions soaked up all the pressure and stormed home in the second-half for a 38-8 victory.

WHO'S HOT
Brumbies winger Graeme Bond continues to impress and was rewarded for his efforts against the Sharks with a hat-trick of tries. If a Wallaby team was picked at the moment Bond would get the nod.

WHO'S NOT
Brumbies No.8 Peter Ryan picked up an off-the-field yellow card after giving Sharks flanker AJ Venter a few rabbit punches. Two more yellow cards and Ryan gets an automatic one-game suspension.

KEY MATCH-UPS
Victor Matfield v Dan Vickerman
Danie Coetzee v Jeremy Paul

WE THINK
Normally the home ground advantage would be of some assistance, unless you're the Bulls. A second Aussie thumping in as many weeks beckons. Brumbies by 20.
