Waratahs admit to schoolboy errors
April 2, 2002

Waratahs fullback Mat Rogers ahas admitted his side were guilty of schoolboy errors in their 22-20 defeat to the Blues at North Harbour Stadium on Friday night.

"We probably played like school kids out there, you know, scared of winning," Rogers said.

"We got out ahead there (after half time) and were looking around thinking are we meant to be here and we didn't really go on with it.

"That's what really let us down, our form was terrible our phase options were bad, and you can't do that against a side like this," he said.

"We talked about it at halftime, we had little patches of good play there, but came out in the second half and we needed to send a search party out for our form, it went somewhere and we better find it quick smart."

The Waratahs have a bye next week before playing the Highlanders at Aussie Stadium on Saturday April 13.
