Coffs Harbour to remain Wallabies home
April 25, 2002

Coffs Harbour will remain the home of the Vodafone Wallabies for at least the next two years.

"Coffs Harbour is the ideal place for the Wallabies to prepare," commented Wallaby coach Eddie Jones.

"Our training base at Pacific Bay Resort is undergoing a major upgrade which includes a custom made gym right next to our training field and that too is going through a significant upgrade.

"The World Cup isn`t too far away now so it`s vital that we have the best possible facilities available and Coffs Harbour has certainly delivered."

All Seasons Premier Pacific Bay Resort, Coffs Harbour, a THAKRAL holdings development, is presently constructing a $500 000 custom designed training and sporting facility (gym) adjacent to the `A Grade` rugby field which has undergone a $200 000 upgrade over the past 6 months.

The two year deal with the option for a third takes in this season and 2003.

The Coffs Harbour Future Development Corporation has secured many other incentives for the Vodafone Wallabies including another chartered Qantas jet for this year`s Bledisloe Cup clash in New Zealand. This year the Wallabies will fly direct from Coffs Harbour to Christchurch.

The Wallabies will assemble in Coffs Harbour in early June.
