Sailor added to Wallaby squad

Wendell Sailor is one of four players added to the Wallabies squad ahead of the TriNations decider in Johannesburg on Saturday week.

Rod Moore, Daniel Vickerman, David Croft and Sailor will join the 22 players who beat the All Blacks in Sydney on Saturday night to keep the TriNations series alive.

The 26-man squad will assemble in Sydney on Friday before travelling to South Africa.

The Springboks host the All Blacks this weekend in Durban.

Meanwhile Wallabies jersey sponsor Vodafone has apologised for the part it played in two streakers entering the arena on Saturday night as All Black Andrew Mehrtens was getting set to line up a penalty attempt.

Two men ran onto the ground naked, with only the Vodafone logo painted onto their skin, and one of the duo is believed to have approached the company on Thursday last week asking if they would cover any possible fines incurred.

Australian Rugby Union general manager of commercial operations Brian Thorburn has condemned the act, but says Vodafone has apologised for its part and as far as the ARU is concerned the matter is now closed.

"Vodafone have been an outstanding sponsor, whose commitment and contribution to rugby union has been quite extraordinary," Thorburn said in a statement.

"In this instance there has been an error of judgement in relation to a promotion and we have accepted an apology in that regard. We have not lost sight of the real culprits in this episode. The pair will be dealt with by the law."
