August 14, 2002

The ACT Brumbies continue to build for the future after signing 20-year-old former Queensland Reds lock Mark Chisholm.

The Australian Under 21 international is the second national rep to sign with the Brumbies in the past two days after five-eighth Matt Giteau made the move yesterday.

Chisolm has agreed a two-year deal with last season's Super 12 finalists.

ACT coach David Nucifora said: "He (Chisholm) is a talented player and has already shown he has the skills and athleticism to play Super 12 rugby."

Chisholm, stands 197cm and weighs in at 110kg and is expected to fight for a place vacated at the Brumbies by David Giffin's exit.

Both the Reds and the NSW Waratahs are pursuing the Wallaby lock.
