Lock Brent Cockbain will make his first start for Sale Sharks on Sunday when they travel to Leeds Carnegie.

The former Ospreys second row featured as a replacement against Leicester Tigers last Sunday but is promoted to the starting XV for the Headingley Carnegie clash.

Winger Rory Lamont, although recovered from the injury which led to his early departure in the same game against the Tigers, has not taken part in training this week and will not travel.

Ahead of the clash Sharks' Director of Rugby Philippe Saint Andre commented, "This is a big game for us, a tough place to visit. We know that Leeds will be competitive, but we are determined to maintain our momentum after the game against Leicester Tigers, and stay in a top four position."

Sharks: Julien Laharrague; Mark Cueto, Chris Mayor, Luke McAlister, Oriol Ripol; Charlie Hodgson, Richard Wigglesworth; Lionel Faure, Scott Lawson, Stuart Turner, Brent Cockbain, Chris Jones, Jason White (captain), Magnus Lund, Sebastien Chabal.
