Former Wallabies cult-hero Nick Cummins is excited to line-up for the Barbarians, even if it is against his former team-mates. Speaking to UK's Sport Magazine, the Honey Badger said he was excited to line-up with his new team-mates such as cross-Tasman rivals Colin Slade and Steven Luatua and couldn't wait to "launch into the mongrels on the Saturday."

"Yeah, good eh? I've never done it before, so that's another cool experience coming up. I'm used to playing against them, and you're just with your team and all serious, so you don't get to chew the fat and what have you," Cummins said. "I think I'm just stoked to be part of it, and these blokes I'm sure are gonna be quite welcoming. A bit of team bonding won't go astray, and that'll get us all on the same page."

It may have only been five-months ago that Cummins was suiting up in the green and gold, but he said he wouldn't be holding back when it came to taking on his old team-mates and he was tipping a good win from the Baa-Baas.

"I'll get to catch up with a few of the lads I used to play with too, and hopefully give them a bit of banter, and that'll be a real enjoyable time," Cummins told UK's Sports Magazine. "Even after the Baa-Baas beat them 32-15, we'll hopefully get out for a beer and tell a few stories. If the Wallabies are allowed to come out for a beer, that is…"

Addressing the rumours of his Super Rugby return Cummins said he would like to return and get a World Cup under his belt but his focus is on the Sparks and he would wait until the right channels opened for him to make his return possible.

"There's a lot of smoke and mirrors involved, but I haven't heard the fat lady yet, so there's still a chance of getting back there - depending on the right channels being exploited. Mate, I've spoken to a couple of media outlets, but all I said was that I'd like to play back there one day - and they ran with it and turned it into some bloody story.

"That was a bit ordinary on their behalf. I'm definitely keen to get back one day and play, though - and a World Cup would be awesome. But my focus is the Sparks over here for now, and I'm all guns blazing. If I can get back there, then I'm keen for that too."

The Wallabies will take on the Barbarians on Sunday morning (AEST time) for their opening end-of-season tour match.
