Zinedine Zidane scores immense try

Just as they did when they faced a Marseille XI two summers ago, Toulon rugby club staged another one of their bizarre rugby/football hybrid charity matches on Wednesday evening.

The opposition this time was provided by veterans of France's 1998 World Cup-winning side, with the likes of Zinedine Zidane, Didier Deschamps, Robert Pires and Claude Makelele all turning out for Les Bleus.

Indeed, Zidane proved that his mercurial talents aren't just limited to football when he carved through the Toulon defence to score an immense try that began in his own half of the field.

For the record, France won 6-3 in the first (football) half while Toulon unsurprisingly rallied to take the second (rugby) by a 30-20 margin -- thus presumably making the overall score 33-26 to the hosts.

Either way charity was the real winner, with all proceeds going straight to a local children's aid foundation.
