Gloucester fly-half Nicky Robinson has escaped punishment for his tackle on London Irish scrum-half Darren Allinson in the LV= Cup.

A joint Rugby Football Union and Welsh Rugby Union disciplinary committee dismissed the dangerous tackle charge on Tuesday night after Robinson was cited for the incident from the February 5 fixture, which Gloucester won 41-8.

Cardiff Blues lock Bryn Griffiths was handed a three-week ban by the panel after being found guilty of stamping on Harlequins scrum-half Karl Dixon in their LV=Cup meeting on February 6.

The former Newport Gwent Dragons and Doncaster man will be free to play again on March 9.

The final disciplinary hearing heard on Tuesday saw Newport Gwent Dragons hooker and captain Tom Willis suspended for two weeks.

The former All Black was handed the ban for stamping on an un-named Scarlets player during their Welsh derby on February 6.

The ban means Willis, who was absent from the hearing after picking up an injury in the Dragons win over Edinburgh at the weekend, will be free to play again on March 2 and rules him out of Magners League games against Aironi and Glasgow.
