England Under-20s booked an IRB Junior World Championship semi-final clash against New Zealand with a record-breaking 109-0 thrashing of Pool A rivals USA on Thursday.

England scored 17-tries in with captain Alex Day leading the way with a hat-trick while fly-half Will Hooley kicked 22 points. The result ensured England progressed to the last four as the best-placed runner-up in the pool stage of the competition - edging out Ireland who were beaten 31-26 by New Zealand in the Pool B decider.

The other semi-final will see defending champions South Africa tackle Wales after the Baby Boks sealed their place at the top of Pool A with a 26-19 victory over tournament hosts France and the Welsh claimed Pool C with a 25-20 victory over Argentina.

Both semi-finals will take place at the Stade de la Rabine in Vanne on June 18.
