Nottingham have been forced to make cuts after failing to secure promotion from the RFU Championship to the Aviva Premiership. Although they finished second to Newcastle they failed to make it as far as the play-off final.

They have cut their playing squad from 30 down to 23 and are in talks with potential buyers after struggling to make it through to the end of last season.

"We are where we are, and have what we have," head coach Martin Haag told the BBC. "You have a pot of money and things that you want, unfortunately they don't always marry up. Things change and hopefully they will."
