England and Saracens star Alex Goode took pre-season training to new heights earlier this week as he jumped 13,000 feet in the aid of the Afghanistan Trust with the Parachute Regiment Red Devils free fall Skydiving team.

The Afghanistan Trust are Saracens' charity partner for the 2013-14 season and Goode along with some of his team-mates took part in the daring dive to raise money for the charity, who help and support soldiers and their families who served with The Parachute Regiment in Afghanistan and who have been wounded or killed.

Goode said: "Everyone seemed to be chilled - and I must admit I was still feeling pretty calm, but then you get to about 11,000+ feet you begin to breathe a little bit heavier. The nerves begin to kick in when you are a 13,000 feet, and by the time they open the cabin door, you really are a nervous wreck.

"When the instructor tips you out of the plane the first part is like going over a bridge when it gets your stomach, but multiplied by a million. It was just an exhilarating and unbelievable experience."
