Leigh Halfpenny has won a number of awards in his career but now comes the most prestigious of them all … he has been voted Wales' sexiest man in a poll run by the South Wales Echo.

Before Halfpenny gets carried away, the runner-up was Matt Johnson, a breakfast TV presenter, suggesting it was not exactly a field full of hunks.

A bashful Halfpenny said he was "quite surprised to hear the news to be honest" adding: "There will definitely be a bit of banter flying around I'm sure."
