Sex-pest teenager blames actions on rugby injury

February 5, 2014

A teenager from New Plymouth in New Zealand who was found guilty of filming his friend having sex with a drunk 17-year-old girl and then posting the video on Facebook escaped with a light sentence because he blamed injuries sustained in a school rugby match.

The judge was swayed by arguments from the Jack Greenslade's lawyer who used a psychologist's report to claim head injuries sustain by the youth while at New Plymouth Boys' High School caused depression that affected his judgment.

He was sentenced to 125 hours community service, grounded at home at nights for four months, had his phone confiscated and had to pay the girl NZ$5000 (£2500).

Greenslade failed in his attempt to have his name surpressed.
