Saracens Women were crowned champions of the English Premiership on Sunday for the second year in succession.

The North London side were denied the chance to finish the season in style, being awarded a walk-over against relegated Vale of Lune, but nevertheless finish the league season as deserved champions with a 100% record, scoring 584 points whilst conceding only 61.

Lee Adamson, Saracens Women's President, said: "Saracens are immensely proud of the achievements of our women's section. Being crowned English Women's Premiership champions for the second year in succession is a testimony to the hard work and commitment of all our coaches, players and administrators.

"The Saracens women are going from strength to strength; running two senior sides and two junior sides. Our women's development officer is working with local schools and we determined to remain the top women's club in England."

Richmond's 33-7 victory away at Wasps on Sunday secured second place in the Premiership, with rivals Wasps finishing third.
