Where does Yoann Huget's early score for France against England rank on the list of Six Nations fastest tries from the kick-off? J-P C, France
The France-England match was the 212th Six Nations match since the tournament started in 2000. Huget's try was 32 seconds after the kick-off making it the second-fastest in Six Nations history.
Mauro Bergamasco scored in the 20th second for Italy during a whirlwind start to the Scotland-Italy fixture at Murrayfield in 2007.
Two candidates vie for the honour of the quickest try scored in any Test match. John Leslie, the Scottish centre, scored straight from the kick-off against Wales at Murrayfield in 1999 during the last-ever Five Nations season. The try was timed as coming nine seconds into the game.
It is known that Leo Price, the Harlequins flanker, scored for England direct from the kick-off against Wales at Twickenham in 1923. Reports say that he scored after ten seconds and without any one else touching the ball. Price kicked-off, caught his kick into a strong headwind and crossed to set England on course for a 7-3 win that launched a Grand Slam campaign.
