Masters of their own domain?

I'm old enough to remember the US Masters being won every year by Americans. How many overseas golfers have won it? asked Ken Broadbent

It's true that the Masters, which was first contested in 1934, was once the preserve of American golfers. By 1979, the only non-US golfer to win it was Gary Player, who collected the green jacket in 1961, 1974 and 1978. But the 1980 winner was the great Spaniard Seve Ballesteros, who also won in 1983.

Since then the overseas winners have outnumbered home-grown ones. Bernhard Langer of Germany won the Masters in 1985 (and again in 1993), and was followed by Britain's Sandy Lyle (1988), Nick Faldo (1989, 1990 and 1996) and Ian Woosnam (1991), Jose-Maria Olazabal of Spain (1994 and 1999), Fiji's Vijay Singh (2000), Mike Weir of Canada (2003), South Africa's Trevor Immelman (2008), Angel Cabrera of Argentina (2009), another South African in Charl Schwartzel (South Africa, 2011), and Adam Scott of Australia (2013).
