Other than Nico Rosberg this season, has any German driver apart from Michael Schumacher ever won the German Grand Prix? asked Martin Selby

I think you may have forgotten about the current world champion, Sebastian Vettel, who won his home Grand Prix for the first time last year,

Michael Schumacher won the German GP four times - in 1995, 2002, 2004 and 2006. His brother, Ralf Schumacher, won for Williams in 2001.

Last weekend at Hockenheim, Nico Rosberg gave Mercedes their first win in their home race since 1954, when Juan-Manuel Fangio took the chequered flag at the Nurburgring.

No other German driver has won the race since the world championship began in 1950, but in pre-championship days the legendary Rudolf Caracciola won it no fewer than six times between 1926 and 1939. Hans Stuck - the father of the more recent GP driver of the same name - won it in 1934, and Bernd Rosemeyer in 1936.
