Young speaks out over 'bird poo' incident

Ashley Young has finally broken his silence over an incident that quite literally befouled him during Manchester United's opening game of the season against Swansea at Old Trafford.
Social media was awash with Vine clips after the game that appeared to show a mysterious white globule fly in from stage left and land directly in the United winger's open mouth.
Having been assessed by thousands of independent adjudicators/guffawing football fans worldwide, it was (un)officially ascertained that Young had been victim to a laser-guided bird excrement attack.
In an interview with Soccer AM, Young was asked about guano-gate, with the man himself explaining that he is still has no idea what the offending blob that landed in his mouth on the fateful day actually was.
"I need to put it out there, I don't actually know. I don't know what happened. You would have seen a reaction from me," Young said. "I've seen the video about 100 times. I don't know what it was. I need to get to the bottom of it."
Slightly unfortunate turn of phrase there, Ash...
