The issue of grappling at set-pieces took centre stage as Manchester United snaffled a 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday.

United defenders Marcos Rojo and Chris Smalling were particularly busy pinching, grabbing and shirt-tugging at Chelsea attackers, all tactics which referee Phil Dowd decided were in the spirit on the game.

However, Chelsea skipper John Terry has claimed that, among the flailing limbs of the Old Trafford penalty box, something more extravagant than a simple shirt-pull was being employed - the 'double headlock'.

Chelsea were denied an eighth win from nine matches by Robin van Persie's last-gasp goal, which cancelled out Didier Drogba's header.

Van Persie's equaliser came after Ivanovic had been sent off for two bookable offences after twice fouling Angel Di Maria, but Terry suggested on Instagram that it was the Chelsea right-back and himself who were ultimately punished.

Terry wrote: "It shows how well we are playing when you come away from Old Trafford disappointed with 1 point.

"Thanks to all the travelling fans for your great support.

No matter, then, if United fail to qualify for the Champions League this season - several of their defenders could have solid careers in WWE ahead of them.
