Rooney - striker, captain ... Ed Sheeran back-up singer?

Wayne Rooney might have been singing the blues after Manchester United's derby defeat to City on Sunday - but it appears he was singing a different tune altogether a few days earlier.
The United captain was in attendance for Ed Sheeran's Manchester gig at the sold-out Phones4u Arena on Tuesday, and Rooney then met the singer-songwriter backstage where they decided to head to the nearby Sir Ralph Abercromby pub on Bootle Street.
"Had a brilliant time at Ed Sheeran concert last night. Thanks for a great night mate!" Rooney posted on his Facebook page along with a picture of the pair at the pub.
However, it seems they shared more than just a photo together - a video has now emerged that appears to show Rooney and Sheeran enjoying an impromptu singalong of the star's hit song 'Lego House':
We don't think they'll be joining up for a duet any time soon - although Sheeran could do worse than giving Leon Osman a spot on one of his tracks after the Everton midfielder brought the house down with a 'Fresh Prince' rap at his testimonial dinner.
