'I wouldn't play for Arsenal for £60m and two Ferraris'

Vincent Kompany has rejected an offer of £60 million and two Ferraris to join Arsenal.
But before the transfer rumour mill gets out of hand, the Manchester City captain was responding to a tweet from one of Arsenal's most famous fans, Piers Morgan, after his beloved side conceded a three-goal advantage to draw with Anderlecht:
"@piersmorgan: @VincentKompany I know, I know...it's just too painful. If I pay you £50m will you come and play for us?" Great club but no.

Kompany, who began his career with Anderlecht, was celebrating the Belgian champions' comeback when the former newspaper editor and chat show host made the offer.
But when it was increased to include cars, Kompany would not budge and, whether he meant it or not, even managed a spectacular put down:
"@piersmorgan: £60m & 2 Ferraris?" Those days have gone Pearsie, I play for glory. :-)
