Rooney head over heels for Scotland - 14 years on

There is something about an acrobatic goal celebration that makes every coach and fan wince.
Just one mistimed somersault could lead to serious injury - it's why Sir Alex Ferguson banned the likes of Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo from risking such unnecessary issues.
(Incidentally, he allowed Nani to continue with his backflip celebration. Read into that what you will...)
But Rooney had no hesitation in performing his acrobatics against Scotland on Tuesday - and a video emerged on Wednesday showing the England striker doing exactly the same against the same opposition during a Victory Shield match way back in 2000.
The passion was clear to see on Rooney's face as he celebrated killing off the game just two minutes after Andrew Robertson had given the Scots a glimmer of hope with his first international goal - and has revealed it was at the request of his five-year-old son Kai.
Rooney cartwheeled away towards the England fans and punched the air after scoring his second goal in an impressive 3-1 win at Celtic Park.
"That was for my son. He's been doing them quite a lot so he wanted me to do one," the England captain revealed.
