Who did Scotland's former director of rugby Scott Johnson play for? asked Derek Mitchell, Scotland

Born in 1962, Scott Johnson played outside-half and centre for Parramatta & Eastwood in Sydney premier-grade club rugby and was skipper of the New South Wales and Australia Under-21 sides before representing the Waratahs.

He was unlucky to find himself in contention for Wallaby honours with Michael Lynagh, who is only a year younger than Johnson.

Johnson spent a season playing with Toulon in the 1980s before turning to coaching when still in his 20s.
