There have been many weird and wonderful things that have happened on a football pitch over the years - but none like this.

Charlton are investigating footage that appears to show a couple having sex on the club's pitch.

The video, that has been shared widely online, shows footage of a man and a woman on the centre spot of a football pitch.

The description on the video claims the incident took place at The Valley, with the pair having broken into the ground at night.

A Charlton spokesperson said the club knew nothing of the incident, adding: "There will be a club investigation."
