Who has driven in the most GPs before taking pole position? asked Daniel Harris

Four drivers took part in more than 100 Grands Prix before starting from the front of the grid.

Top of the list is the Australian Mark Webber, who drove in 131 before taking pole for the first time in Germany in 2009 - and going on to win his first race.

Jarno Trulli took pole for the first time in his 120th GP; Thierry Boutsen for the only time in a 163-race career in his 115th race, in Hungary in 1990; and Nico Rosberg started on pole for the first time in his 112th Grand Prix.
