Dereck Chisora claims he will be given the chance to avenge his defeat to Tyson Fury in their British and Commonwealth title fight last weekend.

Chisora began the bout brightly, rocking Fury in the second round with a thundering hook, but failed to make any impact in the later rounds as he struggled for stamina.

He came into the fight as the heavier man - despite being eight inches shorter than his opponent - leading to speculation that his motivation for the bout, and the sport, was on the wane.

And although his lacklustre performance did little to disprove those suggestions, it seems he is eager to extend his 15-fight career. "I appreciate all the support I have been getting," Chisora said on Twitter. "Big thanks to all of my supporters. I'll be out fighting again soon.

"The best fighter [Fury] won on the night. I don't want to take anything away from him. There will be a rematch soon."

Chisora's insistence comes as a surprise, as Fury has been expected to move into an Irish title fight with Martin Rogan - or a battle with former Olympic and European champion Audley Harrison.

If Fury successfully navigates his next hurdle, he will be in line for a crack at WBO, WBA and IBF king Wladimir Klitschko, who has twice pulled out of scheduled fights with Chisora due to injury.
