Kell Brook v Amir Khan is a fight that England "has to see" during 2012, according to Brook's promoter Eddie Hearn.

Brook proved his class on Saturday with a sixth-round stoppage of Rafal Jackiewicz, who was defeated inside the distance for the first time in his career.

The Brit is now expected to fight for a world title in the near future, most likely against IBF king Andre Berto or WBA champion Viacheslav Senchenko - but Khan, who is planning to move up to welterweight next year, is also a possibile opponent.

"That was an unbelievable performance [against Jackiewicz], you're talking about a guy who Kell made look a journeyman," Hearn told Sky Sports. "[Jackiewicz] is ranked five by the IBF, ten by the WBO, seven in the Ring magazine - that's three places above Kell. He didn't land a glove on Kell.

"This kid is something very very special. In this sport you get one chance to take him all the way. We're already looking at Andre Berto, talking to [promoter] Lou DiBella. The next fight is a big fight - we're talking about taking him out on December 17, so we can put him on Carl Froch's show.

"All of America is talking about him, our country should be talking about him. There's all sorts of fights at 147lbs for him. People talk about Amir Khan, that's a natural fight in 2012. I don't want to get carried away, because I might say something I regret, [but] that's a fight this country has to see in 2012.

"We'll push to make it happen. He can keep making excuses - it doesn't matter. We're going to get him."

Brook insists he trusts Hearn's judgement. "I'm ready. Eddie just gets me the opponents and I knock them out, basically," he said. "Whatever Eddie says, I do. He puts them up, I knock them down."
