Trainer Freddie Roach is underwhelmed by the thought of Manny Pacquiao fighting Tim Bradley - but accepts it is the most likely option for his charge, with no Floyd Mayweather Jnr deal on the horizon.

WBO light-welterweight champion Bradley recently signed with Bob Arum's Top Rank Promotions - the stable that houses Pacquiao - fuelling speculation the pair are set to meet at welterweight in future.

Amir Khan, another fighter that Roach trains, has been rebuffed in his attempts to secure a clash with Bradley - but it seems Pacquiao may be more successful.

"Bradley is a tough kid," Roach said in an interview with RingTV.com. "But I guess that if you have to mention Tim Bradley, then I'm like, 'Is that all that we've got? Tim Bradley?' Since Bob Arum has signed him, that's what everyone is assuming - that Manny Pacquiao is next for Tim Bradley. So maybe I will have to assume that too.

"Tim Bradley ducked one of my guys, Amir Khan, and he would get knocked out by my other guy, Manny Pacquiao."

Meanwhile, Roach says he is still in the dark over whether the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, which has been mooted for years, will actually happen. Khan appears a more likely next opponent for Mayweather - although any agreement is far from certain.

"Everyone still hopes that the fight is out there with Mayweather, I'm sure. I'd rather see Mayweather against Manny than Tim Bradley against Manny. But is Pacquiao-Mayweather going to happen? We just have no idea," Roach said. "I guess if Floyd Mayweather doesn't come to the table, then that is all we've got, Tim Bradley."

Bradley will fight on the undercard of Pacquiao's clash with Juan Manuel Marquez on November 12.
