Amir Khan's management company have named Mustafa Ameen as the figure seen at ringside during the Brit's controversial defeat to Lamont Peterson.

Khan has been smarting ever since his defeat to Peterson in their WBA and IBF light-welterweight title fight last month and he ramped up the pressure when highlighting a 'mystery man' seen at ringside during the fight.

There was initial confusion as to who the man was, but Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer has now revealed him to be Ameen - an IBF official.

"The mystery man in the black wool hat has a name - his name is Mustafa Ameen," Schaefer said.

"The IBF has confirmed to us his name. They have also confirmed to us he is involved with the IBF. However, as stated earlier, he was not in Washington in an official IBF capacity."

The governing bodies are looking into Khan's controversial defeat, but Schaefer claims he has already been informed the WBA will order a rematch.

"We have been informed today (Saturday) by the WBA that they will order a rematch," Schaefer said. "We received verbal confirmation today and we will get written confirmation by next Tuesday.

"I sure hope the IBF will follow, because that is the least they can do."
