Wladimir Klitschko made it 14 wins on the spin with a dominant defence of his IBF, IBO, WBO and WBA heavyweight titles against Jean-Marc Mormeck.

There were many who felt the fight was a mismatch and it proved to be the case, as Klitschko put Mormeck down in the second before stopping him two rounds later.

He took the centre of the ring from the outset and towered over an opponent who weighed in 30lbs lighter. Mormeck attempted to burrow inside, but Klitschko countered this - on the border of being illegal - by pulling down Mormeck.

After an early bout of wrestling that drew boos from the crowd in Dussseldorf, Klitschko found his range with his stinging left jab.

Klitschko stepped up the pace in the second and a couple of powerful straight rights rocked the Frenchman who was dumped on the canvas later in the round.

Mormeck beat the count, but was clearly out of his depth and took further big shots before staggering to his corner after the bell rang.

Klitschko was given a stern talking to by his coach Emmanuel Steward after the third round and it worked as he unloaded a left-right combination that sent Mormeck down and the referee stepped in to stop the contest.
