- Floyd Mayweather Jnr v Miguel Cotto
Floyd warns Cotto: I'm going in for the kill
Floyd Mayweather Jnr has pledged to be more active during 2012, and is targeting another bout towards the end of the year.
Mayweather, the unbeaten American, has been involved in just four bouts since his December 2007 victory over Ricky Hatton - yet now, at 35, is intending to step up the frequency of his outings.
"I want to stay active," said Mayweather, who will start a 90-day jail term in June, to boxingscene.com. "I want to fight again in 2012, before the year is up.
"I want to constantly go out there, like I said before, and test my skills. I want to continue to just push myself to the limit."
He must first negotiate a May 5 test against WBA light-middleweight champion Miguel Cotto - and Mayweather insists the battle will not span the full 12 rounds.
"This fight won't go the distance," Mayweather said. "He's coming in for the kill and I'm going in there for the kill. This is boxing, this is the hurt business, it's about excitement and that's what I'm here to do."
