WBO light-heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly has instructed his promoter to arrange a second fight against British champion Tony Bellew.

Cleverly and Bellew have something of a rivalry, with the two fighters getting into a number of heated arguments prior to their first meeting in the ring in October last year.

It was a bout Cleverly won in somewhat controversial circumstances - with one of the judges scoring the bout as a draw after a competitive and enthralling 12 rounds.

Bellew felt aggrieved to lose the bout on the judges' scorecards and immediately angled for a rematch, subsequently going on to claim the British title after Cleverly initially looked for other defences of his world title.

The Welshman was most recently clamouring for a unification fight against WBA champion Beibut Shumenov but, with that fight looking difficult to arrange, the 25-year-old has seemingly decided the time has come to deal with Bellew once and for all.

"Spoke to my promoter this morning, have asked him to make the Bellew fight," Cleverly said on Twitter. "Let's do this!"
