Haye and Chisora unite in Klitschko criticism

David Haye and Dereck Chisora, whose mutual animosity has been well documented in recent months, managed to agree on one thing at the press conference to promote their July 14 fight which took place on Tuesday: their strong dislike of the Klitschko brothers.

Both Haye - beaten by Wladimir Klitschko last year - and Chisora - who suffered defeat at the hands of Vitali in February - were forthright in their criticism of the Ukrainian siblings, who they say have been dismissive of their Upton Park bout in a month's time because they are jealous of the buzz it has created.

"They don't want this fight to take place because what it will do is take away publicity from their fights," said Haye, with whom Chisora brawled at the post-fight press conference following his defeat to Vitali earlier this year.

"No-one is talking about their fights, people are only talking about this fight and they don't know how to deal with that.

"They don't want anyone else in the heavyweight division making money and getting publicity and they will do whatever they can to shun this event, but people want to see this and people don't want to see what they do - at this point in time anyway."

Vitali defends his WBC title against Manuel Charr in Kiev in September and Wladimir faces Tony Thompson the week before Haye and Chisora's encounter as he guards his WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO belts.

"For once I'm going to have to agree with David Haye, he is actually right. The trouble with K2 promotions is they always have to slate everyone else," commented Chisora as he laid into the brothers and their brand.

"They always think they are the biggest and best thing in boxing. They are just kidding the sport because by the time you have fought them they have already disrupted you, so you know what - two fingers to them anyway."
