Haye: I'll go easy so Del's trainer throws in towel

David Haye has warned Dereck Chisora that he is in for "disgusting" treatment when they aim to settle their grudge at Upton Park on July 14.

Haye and Chisora sniped at each other from behind a fence at last week's media event, as the animosity between the pair, which has raged since they brawled at a press conference in February, threatened to boil over.

The apparently genuine rancour the participants feel towards each other has helped to spike public interest in the clash, and Haye has added fuel to the fire by claiming he wants to force Chisora's trainer, Don Charles, to put his charge out of his misery on fight night.

"I could knock [Chisora] out, but I might just keep stunning him until Don throws the towel in," Haye told iFilm London. "I think Don might be a little bit compassionate as well. I might work that into my gameplan, [so] Don Charles throws in the towel."

He added: "Dereck is not a nice guy, plain and simple. Check his police record and you'll see he's not a nice man. I've seen how he treats other boxers: he tried to kiss one on the mouth, bit one, spat at another one.

"These aren't characteristics of a nice guy, in my opinion. I personally think he's pretty disgusting, and I will treat him that way on the night."
