WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley has called Bob Arum, his promoter, a liar for comments made in the wake of the controversial Manny Pacquiao clash.

Arum claimed that before the judges awarded the contest to Bradley, the fighter told him: "I tried hard but I couldn't beat the guy." But Bradley, who does not expect to agree a rematch with Pacquiao later this year, denies saying anything of the sort.

"I never told Bob that at all. He's a liar and I will tell him that to his face," Bradley said to the Desert Sun. "I told Bob I did the best I can. I got injured. That was it. That's all I said to Bob. I didn't say, 'Bob, I couldn't beat that guy.' I would never say that, because I thought I won the fight.

"Bob's going to say that because that's [Pacquiao] his cash cow. The fact he lost to me, that's hard on him. That's hard on everyone."

However, Bradley is refusing to rule out the possibility of working with Arum, who runs Top Rank Promotions, in future. Bradley's decision to link up with Top Rank helped him secure a lucrative meeting with Pacquiao.

"I have nothing but love for Top Rank. I have nothing but love for the people," Bradley said. "This is a business and some things are said and taken out of context. It is what it is. When I see him, we'll settle this. I'm a big man, I'll talk to him."

The WBO is holding a video review into Pacquiao v Bradley after the judges' verdict was near-universally condemned by fans and critics. The organisation has the power to recommend a rematch, but cannot strip Bradley of his 147lbs title.
