Amir Khan has responded to repeated taunts from Danny Garcia and his father by 'promising' to knock his opponent out when the two meet in Las Vegas on Saturday.

Garcia's father Angel has been an outspoken figure in the run-up to the fight, delivering a string of insults to the British fighter.

The WBA, WBC and Ring light-welterweight belts will be on the line at the Mandalay Bay on Saturday and things got heated at Thursday's press conference. Angel Garcia continued his taunting of Khan and appeared to claim the Brit has a suspect chin by miming his own knockout.

"In this fight Danny is going to show the world who is the boss," Angel Garcia said. "Danny is the boss. In that ring, Khan has never faced a Latino like Danny. This is Latino blood."

Khan was calm throughout but rose to the taunts late in the press conference by saying: "I have never said this before at a press conference, I will knock Danny Garcia out and I will take the world title. I will take the world titles home.

"They can do whatever they want, think whatever they want. Danny has not trained as hard as me. I promise I will knock him out."
